Emergency Evacuation Procedures
Air horn stations are located throughout sites to facilitate summoning first aid in emergency situations or rapidly signaling fire or site evacuation.
All workers are responsible for knowing where air horn stations are located.
Summoning emergency first aid is 3 short blasts of the air horn, repeated until help arrives.
Signaling fire/emergency evacuation is one long continuous blast, followed by exiting to the muster station immediately.
When exiting site, walk calmly do not run.
Avoid using elevators if there is a fire.
Fire can cause elevator doors to open on fire floors.
Report immediately to the site muster station for a head count and emergency triage if required.
If the egress route is blocked by smoke or fire, don't panic call site first aid, site management or 911 and report you position. If able go to a balcony or window and wait for rescue.
