For someone with ADHD, if something is important to them, they can pay attention to it easily.

Will power being a limited resource, the dopamine seeking nature of the brain, time blindness and limited working memory capacity are all good reasons to use external structures to support an adult with ADHD.

For someone with ADHD, what their brain wants in the moment aligns well with what they want the most of themselves.

Executive Function skills are greatly impacted in ADHD leading to challenges in performance even when the individual is highly talented, intelligent and knowledgeable.

Mindfulness skills such as pausing, breathing, noticing and naming and shifting attention are fundamental to improve inhibition, emotional regulation and self regulation for an adult with ADHD.
