辦理目的：合歡山暗空公園於2019年正式受國際暗空協會(IDA)所認證，為強化與國際上的交流，欲邀請國際暗空協會(IDA)、日本與韓國之暗空公園，以及國內推動暗空公園相關人員，針對各國暗空公園相互分享其執行成果，合歡山暗空公園亦將以「觀光發展下的暗空保育」為主要議題，將台灣以觀光推動的暗空所串聯學界及天文社群，推動天文旅遊並達到暗空保育目的之實際作為與成果向國際展示，並透過綜合座談之交流，與國際對談、串連與共識產出，提升合歡山暗空公園在國際上的地位與角色。
合歡山暗空公園不斷針對光害防制的推動下，亦將於同場次針對星空品質量測Sky Quality Meter(SQM)結果進行發佈，以充分展現執行效益與改善情況，加強觀光產業推動相關之政府機關、業者、居民及旅客等相關權益關係人間對於星空環境的關注。故擬辦理國際交流論壇與暗空光害監測結果發佈會，以推動合歡山暗空公園於國際。

Hehuan Mountain Dark Sky Park (HMDSP) was officially
certified by the International Dark Sky Association (IDA) in 2019. In order to
strengthen cooperation with the international community, HMDSP would like to
invite the International Dark Sky Association (IDA), guest speakers from Dark
Sky Park in Japan and South Korea, as well as relevant personnel who vigorously
promote the Dark Sky Park, to share their current achievements on the Dark Sky
Park of various countries. Taking "Dark Sky Conservation under the Development
of Tourism" as the main topic, HMDSP will showcase to the world the
tourism-driven dark sky that connects the academic and astronomical
communities, as well as the implementation and achievements of promoting
astrotourism and achieving the purpose of dark sky conservation. HMDSP will
enhance its international status and role through comprehensive discussions,
exchanges, global dialogues, connections, and consensus.
Under
the continuous promotion of light pollution control, HMDSP will also take this
opportunity to release the result of the Sky Quality Meter (SQM) to fully
demonstrate the effectiveness and improvements and promote the concern of
stakeholders such as government agencies, industry, residents, and tourists to
the starry sky environment. Therefore, it is planned to hold an international
forum on the monitoring results of dark sky light pollution to promote the
HMDSP to the world.
