Join the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance Middle School Garden Crew this Spring!

This program is for students in grades 6-8.

This is a community service / volunteer opportunity to learn more about and work in an urban garden in the Bronx and fulfill their community service requirements. Students will plant and tend to vegetables, herbs, and flowers while learning about topics such as pollinators and composting!

The program takes place from 4:30 - 6:30pm on Wednesdays from April 19 - June 7. The specific dates of the program are 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24, 5/31, 6/7. Join us once, twice, or all eight sessions to gain the most experience.

The VCPA Compost Site and Education Garden is located inside Van Cortlandt Park at:

Mosholu Avenue and Broadway along the left hand side of the driveway (next to the Horse Stables)
