GETTING SEEN with ZINES: Asian American & Pacific Islander Storytelling Project

Together as Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders, learn the basics of ZINE (crafted booklet) storytelling with collage, art, and words. All ages and skills welcome to build a ZINE together.

Free parking, supplies & refreshments provided. Feel free to bring your own materials or pictures too for your authenticity.

Led by Arts Educator Jean Munson.

These workshop events are part of the Neon Pacific Initiative to elevate the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Asian and Asian American Studies Department's ability to increase research, engagement, and community partnerships. Participation and completing surveys as a UNLV Student (not Senior Standing) can make you eligible in a drawing for a $500 Scholarship in the Fall 2024 semester. 4 students will be awarded this scholarship at the Zine Release Party on April 12, 2024.
