Great Oak High School Math Waiver
By submitting this Waiver, we the parents/guardians acknowledge our student has met the recommended PLACEMENT PROFILE that TVUSD has established as potential indicators of success in the Math course listed below.  We realize that by not meeting the recommended profile for this course placement, out student is at risk for not being prepared for the curriculum content and the pacing of instruction,  Further, we understand that if our student is placed in this course at our request, he or she may be only drop the class as defined by the District  Board Policy (during the first two weeks of a semester).  I further understand that if we change our mind after the first day of school begins and request to drop the this class, it may be not possible to do so based on the availability of other courses.

Note 1: Accelerated PreCalculus/AP Calculus AB A will no longer be offered at GOHS starting this next year. The second year of Accelerated Calculus will be phased out starting 2022/2023. Only AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC will be options in future. Note 2: Starting next year for Classes of 2024, 2023, 2022, students in Algebra 1 will transition straight to Algebra 2. They will NOT take Geometry then go to Algebra 2. Incoming Freshmen will be placed in Geometry if complete Alg 1 equivalent in 8th.
