Carefully read the story about Ban's Homestead and observe the buildings, then answer the questions.
At the top of a small hill in the village of Artiče, you will find Ban's Homestead. It consists of a ground-floor house, a farm building, wooden pigsties with a pig kitchen, a wine cellar with a small vineyard, a bee house, a corn crib, a woodshed, a fruit drying house, an orchard, a pond, and a manure and lime pit.
The house is very old, and some of the building materials are said to be up to 600 years old! Everything is constructed from local materials found near the homestead. Even the straw used to cover the buildings grew on the homestead.
The last owners were known as "Ban's uncle and aunt," as the locals called them. Since 2000, the homestead has been protected as a cultural monument.
