Giles County Schools investment in ESSER 3.0 (Federal Relief) Funding has focused on the following areas:

Academics
  • Summer learning opportunities and small group tutoring
  • Supplemental resources to support intervention and Literacy & Math curriculum
  • STEM opportunities in middle and high school
Student Readiness
  • Social worker to address the social, emotional, and mental well-being of students
  • Resources and support for special populations 
  • High School instructional intervention and academics resources with additional ACT prep support
Educators
  • Instructional assistants providing student interventions and support
  • Resources to support mental health and self-care
Foundational Elements
  • Communication upgrades in buildings
  • Connectivity upgrades
  • Technology improvements and access in all classrooms (chromebooks, tablets,  interactive panels)
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and supplies
