Event Registration for Robonics (Robo Safari) of Manthan Tech Fest 2022
RULES AND REGULATIONS OF ROBO SAFARI :-

Bot Specifications:
The size of the robot must be within the size limit- width = 30 cm, length = 30 cm, height = 30 cm.

The bot can be wired or wireless.

The organizers will not be responsible for any kind of frequency related problems of wireless transmitters &
        receivers.

The controlling wires should be bound into a single strip and long enough (preferably erected up to a certain
        height so that it does not entangle with the opponent’s wires or robot

The wires must remain slack throughout the event.

The total weight of bot should not exceed 2 kgs. The weight of the bot includes the batteries, receiver etc.

The bots can have on board as well as off board power supply. Teams will be provided 220 volts AC supply.

The voltage at any point on the electrical connections should not exceed 24 V DC.


General Rules:
A team may consist of a minimum of 1 member and maximum of 4 members. Each team should have unique participants i.e. no two teams can have even a single participant common.

A 220V AC power supply will be provided near the arena.

Each team is allowed to have only one bot.

Ready-made LEGO kits are not allowed. However, ready-made gear assemblies and development boards
       may be used.

Teams will have to report at least 15 minutes before the time slot allotted to them at the beginning of the
       event, failing to do so may result in disqualification.

Bots would be checked for their safety before the match and may be discarded if found unsafe for other
       team or spectators.

Bots will be disqualified if it is measured that the weight of the bot is more than 2 kgs.

Organizers reserve the rights to change the rules at any point in time as they deem fit. The changes will,
        however, be highlighted on the website.


Rounds:
1. 1st ROUND: 50% of the teams will be eliminated in this round. For example, if there are 24 teams, only 50% of the total teams (i.e 12 teams) that complete their course through the arena in minimum time will be allowed into the final round. If there are an odd number of teams, we shall be rounding off to the closest non-decimal value for 50%.


2. 2nd ROUND: In this round, the winner and runners-up teams will be selected according to the judgment of the time taken (included of reset time) by the bot to cover the full arena.


Game Rules:
1. The prelims will be a one-team-at-a-time event where the sequence of registration of teams will be the sequence of runs conducted unless the coordinators are informed of any requests earlier.

2. The robot will start from the point marked as “LET’S RUN” on the arena and will have to go through the entire track consisting of multiple obstacles of different types and the surface will keep varying as well.

3. The race will start the moment the event coordinator gives the green signal and the time keeper will turn on the timer at the same moment.

4. A team can take a maximum of 1 PIT STOP for not more than 2 mins. The teams can check and repair their robots during this time. After the PIT STOP is over, the robot will be placed at the last crossed checkpoint and the race will be continued. The timer won’t be stopped during this time.

5. The teams cannot make any major mechanical or technical changes to the robot within this time.during the time of PIT STOP; teams cannot change the weight and also the onboard battery/batteries of the robot. Teams having on-board power supply cannot change their batteries during this time.

6. A team can take any no. of RESET. After the RESET, the robot will be placed at the previous position and the robot must be frozen for 10 seconds on that position for that RESET and so on . After the freezing period, the race will be continued. The timer won’t be stopped during this time. Only one team member is allowed to control the robot while the other team member is allowed inside the arena to assist the movement of the robot by handling the wires and power supply units.


Disqualification:
Following cases will attract immediate disqualification: • If a team fails to adhere to size specifications.
If a team damages the arena in any way.

If a team fails to report in time.

If a team tries to intervene the game play without permission of the event management member.

 Unethical behavior could lead to disqualification.

Team Details:- 4 students per team are allowed.
 
  Eligibility:
All students should carry their Government ID Card or College ID card to participate in the event.
*****Note: Decision of the judges/coordinators will be considered for the final and please respect that.
