Are you interested in a career in law enforcement? Do you want to meet Irvine Police Department officers? Interested in learning what does a police officer do?

Come to our event on Saturday June 10th, 2023. Irvine Police Department Detective Victor Chang and Senior Public Safety Jordan Liu will make a presentation on working in law enforcement.

Activity Participation  
In consideration of the risk of any injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense while participating in This Event (hereafter, the "ACTIVITY" AND any same-day activity associated with TAP-OC hereafter, the “ACTIVITIES”), hosted by TAP-OC (hereafter, the “ORGANIZATION”), and as consideration for the right to participate in the ACTIVITIES, I (the Named Participant associated with this form and event sign-up) hereby, agree to assume the risks, hazards and dangers and be solely responsible for any injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense which I might sustain while participating in the ACTIVITIES.

I understand that these risks, hazards, and dangers include without limitation:
a) risks associated with travel to and from location(s) to be visiting during the ACTIVITIES, including transportation provided by commercial, private, and/or public motor vehicles;
b) bodily injury of any type, sustained by falling down, getting bruised or cut by sharp or jagged objects, getting on or off (in or out of) the mode of transportation being used for the ACTIVITIES;
c) being knocked down or being involved in a physical confrontation whether caused by a known participant of the ACTIVITIES or someone else;
d) injury from any mechanical failure of any piece of equipment;
e) acts of gross negligence, including any decision by myself or another participant to forego the use of appropriate personal protective equipment;
f) intoxication and/or alcohol poisoning from any beverages consumed voluntarily or through coercion.
 
I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless in advance the ORGANIZATION, its board members, affiliated members, and other attendees associated with the ORGANIZATION of all responsibility (including financial responsibility) for any injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense I may sustain as a result of participation in the ACTIVITIES and all liability that may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of aforementioned parties. I further agree that this waiver, release, and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assigns.
Social Media Disclaimer
I understand that by participating in the ACTIVITIES, all Participants consent to photographs and video/audio recordings taken by the ORGANIZATION during this ACTIVITIES to be used in any or all TAP-OC publications, websites, advertisements, and social media.
COVID Waiver
In light of the ongoing spread of COVID-19, individuals who fall within any of the categories below should not engage in ACTIVITIES. By attending ACTIVITIES, you agree that you do not fall into any of the following categories:  

1. Individuals who currently or within the past 14 days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath
2. Individuals who have traveled at any point in the past 14 days either internationally or to a community in the U.S. that has experienced or is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19; or  
3. Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.

Participants agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and, notify TAP-OC Executive Board if he/she experiences symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after attending any in-person activity during ACTIVITIES.

I agree to release in advance TAP-OC, its board members, affiliated members, and other attendees associated with TAP-OC of all responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense I may sustain as a result of participation in the ACTIVITIES.
COVID Safeguards For All Participants When Possible and/or Required:
While participating in the ACTIVITIES, keep in mind to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19 during any in-person activities. As needed, TAP-OC will implement specific preventative measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19.

1. Voluntarily choose to not participate during ACTIVITIES for any sick-related reason
2. Wear a face mask and social distance
3. Wash hands with soap and water: (1) for at least 20 seconds, (2) often in frequency, (3) before/after group activities, (4) before/after eating, (5) after an unsanitary action
4. Clean up and sanitize before and after using a common area
5. Limit the use of sharing things. Use single-use paper towels, utensils, and similar items
6. Conduct selves in a common courtesy cleanliness manners
7. When entering public and other private environments, follow recommended guidelines stated above or follow the private business’ guidelines
