Thank you for your interest in the applying for the Pacific International Training Desk (PITD).  The PITD is sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/National Weather Service (NWS) and the University of Hawaii. This will be the first distance-learning Level-1 cohort until we can gather for training in-person again.

The audience for this training is the same as our on-site Level-1 program: current NMHS employees from the Pacific with little/no forecasting experience. Participants can expect an average of 6 hours of self-paced online work per week plus a 1-hour interactive Zoom session with the instructor.
