What is the height and width of the face opening of the fireplace? (If your fireplace has glass doors, measure the opening of the door when they are in the open position)
What are the exact INSIDE measurements of the existing flue?
What is the height of the chimney from the top of the Smoke Shelf to the top of the chimney? If you have an existing clay chimney flue, you can measure from the first clay flue (just above the Smoke Shelf) to the top of the clay flue at the top of the chimney. If you do not have a clay flue, the top of the Smoke Shelf is where the chimney starts to get smaller and more narrow.
Every installation is different and nothing is standard in the chimney world! Please provide any additional information about your setup here if needed.
