Would you like to be apart of ECOSLO urban tree planting efforts? Help plant trees as a part of the ECOSLO Urban Tree program around San Luis Obispo county and ensure their success in the community. ECOSLO has several plantings throughout the months of December to April. Safety and communication will be our highest priority. Tree plantings can be quite labor intensive as they require lifting heavy objects as well as patience with digging in San Luis Obispo's tough soils. Please keep in mind ECOSLO typically plants 15-gallon sized trees for this program, as that size is best suited for the urban environment.
We have two roles available for upcoming plantings:
1. Tree Planting Leader: Ongoing volunteer role for future tree planting events, oversees volunteers during planting events, requires lifting heavy objects (40 lbs+), requires 1 hour virtual training
2. Tree planter: Can be one-time or ongoing, assists with tree planting, requires lifting heavy objects (40 lbs+)
We will provide you with the necessary information to know, supplies to have, and connect you to the nearby neighborhood trees. This is a great on-going volunteer opportunity - to engage with your community and enhance your understanding of trees in an urban setting.
Please fill out the form below and we will follow up with you via email afterward. If you have any questions in the meantime feel free to reach out to
