The Senior EXPO is the premier showcase event for 12th-grade students at the Charlotte Engineering Early College. Teams of students have devoted the last four years of their education to figure out how to problem solve using the engineering design process. The CEEC Senior EXPO, held yearly, is the public event where the students showcase this knowledge and their year-long design and development projects.

The projects require ingenuity, creativity, and sustained focus throughout the school year to be successful. Groups work with peers and professionals as they go through the development of their unique products. Community involvement is a key to the students’ success. The students are energized by the community partners’ and media’s attention on their projects. Judges are brought in to evaluate the projects on a number of criteria and award the top teams prizes.
