MCTG Short Film Challenge Team Leader Agreement
This is an agreement between your Team Leader and the Menifee Community Theatre Group (MCTG), with respect to your team's involvement in the MCTG Short Film Challenge and the creation of a short film or video according to the terms below. The Team Leader hereby agrees on behalf of him/herself and the team to take part in the MCTG Short Film Challenge: Virtual Edition.

The Team Leader agrees, on behalf of him/herself and Team, to abide by the Official Rules of the project, which are available in entirety at www.mctgonstage.com. MCTG reserves the right to disqualify from publication any films which do not adhere to the Official Rules. *

The Team Leader understands that he/she is responsible for all crew, cast, equipment, sets, locations, and other items necessary for participating in the project, and all costs, expenses, damages, and claims relating to the team's participation in the project. *

The Team Leader affirms that he/she will secure all rights to all material included in the film, including any and all images, photographs, performances, sounds, soundtrack, and music. Team Leader will act as the sole copyright holder in and to the film, and Team Leader affirms that the film does not to the best of his/her knowledge violate the copyright of any person or entity, or defame or infringe upon the rights of any kind of, including the right of privacy, of any person or entity. *

The Team Leader agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MCTG, its officers, directors, and partners from any and all claims, costs, damages, expenses and liabilities resulting from the team's participation in the project. *

The Team Leader will have the following rights: to enter the film in film festivals and competitions; to screen the film at local film events; to stream the film or any portion thereof for free on personal or third-party website for Internet viewing, provided that the film or portion contains a full screen title card stating "This Film was created for the Menifee Community Theatre Group Short Film Challenge."; to distribute the film for free via DVD or other media; to use the Film on a professional reel to promote Team Leader, Team, or any Team member; and any other use agreed to in writing by MCTG. *

The Team Leader grants to MCTG the following exclusive rights to the film, from the date and time the team submits their film to the official competition website and continuing indefinitely: to copy, screen, show, exhibit, telecast, broadcast, advertise, market, and disseminate the Film or any portion thereof, via any medium, and in any manner. MCTG will also have the right to use the Film and any portion thereof to advertise, promote and publicize the MCTG Short Film Challenge. *

Team Leader will not at any time assign or license any rights in and/or to the Film to any third party without the prior written permission of MCTG, and MCTG will not at any time assign or license any rights in and/or to the Film to any third party which would preclude Team Leader from exercising its rights in and/or to the Film. *

The Team Leader acknowledges that participation in the MCTG Short Film Challenge is without remuneration or monetary compensation whatsoever. The consideration for participating in the project is the streaming or screening of the Team's completed film at the conclusion of the project; and the possibility, although not the obligation by MCTG, for future screenings, and the opportunity for publicity or exposure for being a participant. *

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kentucky. *
