The purpose of Flexible Calendar activities is “to promote staff, student, and instructional improvement.” The state requires that all Flex activities meet at least one of the following criteria. Please check the boxes which apply to your proposed activity. *

Improvement in teaching

Maintenance of current academic/technical knowledge

In-service training for vocational education and employment preparation

Retraining to meet institutional needs

Intersegmental exchange programs

Development of innovations in instructional and administrative techniques and program effectiveness

Computer and technology proficiency programs

Courses and training implementing affirmative action and upward mobility programs

Other programs related to education and prof. dev. (e.g. the enhancement of wellness and self-esteem as it relates to job/work environment
