We will confirm that we have received your completed application entry via email or phone call. On September 17, 2019,  you will be contacted and given your line up number in the parade. Please check and provide your preferred method of communication.

Parade Rules and Regulations
Parade participants not in compliance with the following rules will be forbidden to enter future parades.


Each entry is responsible for making the parade as safe as possible. Remember that dress, decorum, and other behavioral acts of parade participants will be on public display. Please be mindful that your actions are indicative of the decorum of Raymond High School, and that you are the future leaders of this society.

Cars/Trucks/Floats

  • Each car/truck/float shall be decorated in the theme of the Raymond High School with skirting completely around it (including the area around the tires). All decorations and attachments on the car/tuck/float shall be securely fastened.
  • All lettering and signs must be of the highest quality artwork and construction. Stencils, cutouts, or artistic free style lettering are all acceptable.
  • Only the vehicle actually participating in the parade will be admitted into the Raymond Elementary parking lot.
  • Participants are not allowed to ride on the hoods or trunk of cars. The lower portion of their body must remain inside of the car.
  • No vehicle will be allowed to play music unless approved.
  • No animals  
  • A maximum speed limit of 5 m.p.h. will be strictly enforced.
  • No ATV will be allowed in the parade.



 


Any action deemed unsafe by the Raymond High School administration will result in immediate removal from the parade and risk the possibility of being banned from participating in future homecoming parades.

PARTICIPANT RELEASE OF LIABILITY ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT     ***READ CAREFULLY***
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the homecoming parade,   I the undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:

1. The risk of injury from participating in the parade activities involved in the 2019-2020 Homecoming is significant.

2. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation.

3. I willingly agree to comply with terms and conditions for participation. If I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately.

4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD HARMLESS Hinds County School District , its members, officers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsors, advertisers and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (RELEASEES), from any and all claims, demands, losses, and liability arising out of or related to any INJURY, DISABILITY OR DEATH I may suffer, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for this participant, do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the Releasees, and, for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all liability incidents to my minor child’s involvement or participation in these programs as provided above, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
