CIC Diversity Scholarship Program
The CIC Theater is one of Chicago's premiere long form improvisation institutions. CIC began offering its own advanced improv training program in 2015. CIC is a registered non-profit organization.

The CIC Diversity Scholarship will award tuition-free enrollment to the full curriculum of CIC’s training center. This tuition is delivered directly to the theater on the performer's behalf as payment for each of the five classes ($250 per level).

COVID-19: Students are required to show proof of vaccination to enroll. Masks must be worn indoors at all time except when participating in onstage exercises. This policy will be adjusted as needed.

The current objective of the CIC Diversity Scholarship is to specifically welcome performers of color including, but not limited to, those who identify as: Asian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander, African American or Black, Hispanic or Latinx, Native American, Middle Eastern, and bi- or multi-racial.

Selected applicants will be contacted one month prior to the start of each session.

Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their responses to the questions on this application, which will involve a moderate amount of writing. If writing is not your preference, you may also video or audio record your responses. If you wish to request the full list of all the questions that appear in this application, please email cicdiversity@gmail.com. Files of or links to your video/audio response may also be sent to cicdiversity@gmail.com.
