The League of American Bicyclists began Bike to Work Day as part of Bike Month in 1956. Over the years, Bike to Work Day has grown into a widespread event with countless bicyclists taking to the streets nationwide in an effort to get commuters to try bicycling to work as a healthy and safe alternative to driving alone. DowntownDC BID has held the title of the largest pit stop in DC. The event will be held in Franklin Park (1315 EYE St NW) where bike enthusiast will meet vendors, have refreshments and hear remarks from Mayor Bowser and others.

Volunteer Roles Include:
- T-shirt distribution staff
- Raffle ticket distribution staff
- Food table staff
- Prize table staff
- Bike Parking Monitors

*All shifts begin at 6:30 AM

**A Bike to Work Day t-shirt will be provided to all volunteers.
