Verdese Carter Park - Vision Plan Feedback
Thank you for providing comments on the park vision for Verdese Carter Park!

We, the Trust for Public Land in collaboration with the Police Activities League (PAL), the City of Oakland, and the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation, have an opportunity to seek state grant funding for park improvements, and over the last few months have engaged you, the community, to craft a park vision for the grant.

Below is the vision that shows park improvements that are eligible to be requested for in our grant application. The long-term vision shows a large recreation center, which cannot be covered by this State grant, but we’ve included to record a long-term vision for the park.

Does this draft Vision Plan meet your goals for park improvements? If not, why?
As we apply for grant funding, and determine if all new park components can be requested within the grant funding, are there improvements that you would like prioritized?
We heard from some people that they’d like to see public art. Can you help us think about art opportunities in the park? Where might you be interested in seeing art?
