2022-2023 | Ramapo College | Teacher Education | Observation and Conference Report (OCR) Google Form
The Observation and Conference Report (OCR) is a performance-based, formative assessment instrument used to provide feedback to teacher candidates/clinical interns on observed lessons

The OCR is used by both clinical supervisors and cooperating teachers during Clinical Practice I and Clinical Practice II. It is closely aligned with the Clinical Competency Inventory (CCI) evaluation instrument and will help guide the development of the teacher candidate throughout Clinical Practice.

During Clinical Practice I (Sep.-Dec.):

Clinical supervisors will conduct:
  • (1) one informal observation/post-observation conference (does not require an OCR) in early October.
  • (2) two formal observations/post-observation conferences for each of their clinical interns in October and November. After each of the two (2) FORMAL observations/conferences, supervisors must complete this form.
Cooperating teachers will:
  • formally observe their clinical intern during one (1) of the supervisor's formal observations (co-observation) and should participate in all post-observation conferences, if possible.
  • independently complete this form after their one (1) FORMAL observation/post-observation conference with their intern's supervisor.

During Clinical Practice II (Jan.-April):
  • Clinical supervisors will conduct six (6) formal observations/post-observation conferences for each of their clinical interns between January and April. After each of the six (6) formal observations/conferences, supervisors must complete this form.
  • Cooperating teachers will formally observe their clinical intern during one (1) of the supervisor's formal observations (co-observation), typically in February or March, and should participate in all post-observation conferences, if possible
  • Cooperating teachers must independently complete this form after their one (1) formal observation/post-observation conference with their intern's supervisor.

It may be helpful to review a hard copy of the OCR before completing this digital form.
