Bar Harbour Camp LIT Application 2023
Bar Harbour Camp is accredited by the Alberta Camping Association and the United Church Camping Standards. Accreditation standards assure parents that their children will be safe and cared for by qualified and trained staff.
Leader in Training (LIT) is a volunteer position for youth 16 - 17 years of age. This is a work experience opportunity that can help you learn how to be a role model for younger children in a safe and supported environment.

As a Leader in Training, you will:
● Shadow and work with Counsellors or other camp staff.
● Experience teaching, leading, and learning as part of a camp team, including being aware of and assisting in supporting the mental and physical welfare of the camper, accompanying campers to activities. Ensuring that campers are punctual for all activities.
● Being familiar with camp emergency procedures, respecting and complying with all camp policies and procedures.

Being a successful LIT is beneficial if you would like to become a full staff member in the future.
