Golf Outing/Business Partnership Inquiry
Love your neighbors, support local (LYNSL) is a social media campaign (FB and Instagram) that is strategically designed to INCREASE MEDIA TRAFFIC to websites and social media accounts of our local (milford and surrounding area) small businesses. A group of community members have set out to BOOST the support for our local small businesses, since so many of them are still struggling.

 In a time when our country is full of division and hatred, we have set out to STRENGTHEN the bonds of unity, within our own community in an attempt to put some GOOD back into the world - through this campaign. For this to work, it is imperative that everyone involved PERSONALLY support and encourage this campaign. Please consider joining us though our various forms of partnership.

This campaign is propelled by (what we hope to be annually) a golf outing that contains a social media contest within it. All proceeds from the golf outing are donated to the Alzheimer's association.

So, for a contribution to a good cause, you can participate in an event that is designed to BOOST your business's media influence, as well as contribute to strengthening your own community. What's not to love?

Check out the different ways that you can get involved. Remember, space is limited - so don't wait! IF we find that we cannot fill all of the spaces with Milford businesses, we will expand this to our neighboring cities - BUT we wanted to keep this as Milford-centric as possible.

Golf Outing Details

Golf: $125 per player (includes 18 holes, lunch and dinner, an alcoholic beverage ticket)
Check in 8:45-9:20; shotgun start 9:30

Sponsoring a hole will automatically enroll you in our Social Media Contest (Golfers will tag your business throughout the event)
Sign materials will be provided by us to participate in the Social Media Contest (signage)


Sponsorship will also include the following 3 advertising activities:

***2-Golf outing related "Shout Outs" tagging your business before the 9/14/21 golf outing on our LYNSL (Love your neighbors, support local) Facebook/Insta pages

***The option of a 2-3 minute video to be posted on our FB page (Goal: Put a face/story behind your business, express your needs to the community - for example, explain why your business is a great/unique place to work and express your need for quality employees OR how covid has impacted you and how they can specifically help OR share about the vital role your business plays in our community). We want to tug at their heartstrings and remind people that YOU (small business owners) are our neighbors and you NEED our (community members dedicated to helping you) support. We can help you create the video. All videos subject to approval.

***2-AFTER-outing advertising posts (Between October 2021-May 2022 you can choose what content to advertise and when - for example if you are having a sale - you might choose to advertise it as 1 of your 2 posts on our page)



Additionally:
The social media contestants are motivated to advertise for you on their personal pages with the promise of raffle tickets for prizes. We are requesting the hole sponsors contribute a prize (min $30 value) for the contest. We will advertise your business on our pages (FB/Insta) when we receive your prize, as well as when we add it to a basket.

Social Media Contest explained
The social media contest will happen at the tee boxes. We have room for 18 hole sponsors. As golfers arrive at the tee box of your sponsored hole, they will need to take a picture with your advertisement and tag your business in order to receive a raffle ticket. In order to keep the players moving through quickly, we will need to make this as easy for golfers as possible. There are 2 ways to do this:

1)  ART - Use the materials provided to create a FUN sign to advertise your business (Materials 4 ft x 4 ft corrugated plastic board and waterproof markers, ground stakes). We have ARTISTS ready to assist for business owners that would need help to create that art.

Examples: 1) a flower shop creates a sign that's a bouquet of flowers with a stinging bee on the edge. Golfers can take a photo pretending to smell the flowers, or pretending to be stung by the bee. 2) A gym creates a sign with a muscled up flexing body in which the golfer can take a photo with their face on the muscle body. The signs don't HAVE to be themed around your business, they just need to be fun and have your name on them. The golfer will tag your business when they post the photo.

2) Give-away: IF the art angle scares you too much, you could always give away something with your logo it to each golfer. It may not be as enticing to take a photo with, but you could get creative. Should you choose this route, you would need to provide a volunteer to sit at the hole and give out your item to every golfer.

Examples: Foam fingers with your business name, Reusable water bottles with your logo

Non-Sponsorship Opportunities for businesses
We realize that not all small businesses can afford to participate in hole sponsorship, and there are limited spaces. In order to provide advertising assistance to businesses without sponsorship, we have the following 3 options to get involved:

1) Donate a raffle prize (min. $30 value)
-For this donation, you will receive 2 "shout outs" on our social media accounts

2) Donate a raffle prize (min. $75 value)
-For this donation, you will receive 2 "shout outs" on our social media accounts  BEFORE the outing AS WELL AS 2 additional opportunities to post an advertisement of your choice on our social media accounts AFTER the outing (October 2021-May 2022)

3) Donate an item for each golfer's "swag bag" (approx 130 golfers)
-Examples: small bottles of sunblock or bug spray with your business logo on them, tees or balls with logo, coolers with logo, be creative!
-Your business will receive a "shout out" on our social media pages, plus every golfer takes your advertisement home!

Restaurant Participation
We have a fun way for you to get involved! Mystic Creek has graciously agreed "in the spirit of supporting local businesses" to allow outside food to be brought into their facility. Our goal is for the dinner to have a "taste of Milford" while providing some increased traffic to your social media. We need multiple restaurants to donate a dish (to feed approx 130 people), as well as a volunteer (best case scenario - the OWNER) to be available for approximately 45 minutes (2:30 - 3:15 pm) to serve your dish (at the buffet). In order to increase traffic and positive attention to your restaurant, you may want to provide a list of 3 options to us. That way, we can post (and tag) that your business is considering these 3 options - and encourage the community to VOTE (hopefully spurring on comments about how amazing your food is!). The FIRST restaurant to sign up to provide the MAIN DISH (Meat) will get to ADVERTISE on the BEVERAGE CART ($500 value) for the golf outing. All dish donations subject to approval. If you can't send a volunteer to serve the dish, please let us know in advance - we will find someone.
