NOTE.
Mexican laws allow foreign hunters (with a license) a combination of two rifles or shotguns and a maximum of 100 cartridges per rifle or shotgun. Rifle calibers allowed are up to 8mm (.322") and shotgun gages allowed are 12Ga and smaller, with barrel of 20" or larger.

Make sure you comply with all the rules and regulations of the Department of Homeland Security before you bring any gun into Mexico.
To visit México as a tourist and plan to stay more than three days at the border, or will pass the second check point, or to hunt it is a must to get a Visa at the port of entry (at the bridge). The cost is about $25 dolars for 180 days. According to the U.S. Deparment of Homeland Security, US Citizens traveling by land and sea CURRENTLY need to present either (a) a passport, passport card or WHTI-compliant document; or (b) a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, along with proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate. �Remember to declare your guns and ammo using the DECLARATION LANE at the bridge. Look for specifics traffic signs for hunters at the bridges #2 (Laredo) & #3 (Colombia). Ammo can be imported only the frist time, when you check your guns in. Remember to check out your guns on your last trip, AVOID PENALTIES.�The ranch owner or the Outfitter will have the tags available at the camp. Be sure to attach a tag to your game. US Fish & Wildlife requires you to declare your game at the port of entry, and the hide must be dipped for parasites or hard rock frozen for 48 hours and then thawed the same day to allow inspection. Capes with a tick or more, dead or alive, will not be allowed to be imported in to de USA. US Fish and Wildlife and APHIS are not allowing to import birds. Only the hunter can cross his/her trophy. Be sure to keep a copy af the declaration made at the bridge for future references on the U.S. side.
