GBDN Cohort Application
Thank you for your interest in the Georgia Black Doula Network,  2024 Doula Cohort.  The Georgia Black Doula Network (GBDN)  mission is to help eradicate Black maternal and Infant mortalities in Georgia, strengthening the sustainability of the Black perinatal workforce. Please read this application in its entirety, as it contains pertinent information for the process to becoming a participant.

The Atlanta Doula Collective and the GBDN extends an invitation to complete this application to those individuals who understand our mission and core values, and to those who meet the following requirements:
  • Must reside in Georgia
  • Must identify as African American, Black or Indigenous
  • Must be able to attend all in-person and virtual trainings. 
  • Must be physically able to attend and support birthing mothers. 
Timeline:
  1. Jun 1st  = Acceptance Notifications 
  2. Aug 3rd  = Cohort Orientation, in-person in Albany, GA.
  3. Aug 17th = Oct 2nd >> Virtual and In-person trainings
  4. Oct 10th = 13th >> Innerstanding Birthwork Training in-person in Albany, GA
  5. Nov  1st  = Begin bi-weekly check-ins both virtual and in-person. Begin working with assigned mentor and attending births locally.
  6. Apr 5 - 19 2025 (Saturdays) =  Business Builder Bootcamp
  7. May 1  Jun 21, 2025 =  Work with assigned mentor on a small business incubator/accelerator project.
  8. July 19t, 2025 = Presentations and Graduation Ceremony.
