TEACH Coach Mentee Application - Due by 9/1
Please complete this application by September 1st if you would like to be paired with a supportive peer mentor for the Fall 2022 semester. Once received, we will do our best to match you with an appropriate mentor who is not currently serving on your Appraisal Team or as your Department Chair. Your mentor may even be from a different department than your own; we have found that being in the same department is not necessary to achieving a positive experience. You'll meet with your mentor about every other week on Zoom or in-person, and become a member of the online TEACH Coach Cohort. Upon completion of the five core program requirements, you'll receive a TEACH Coach Certificate of Completion. We are excited to get you started!

The TEACH Coach Program has three primary goals/objectives: Instructional Excellence, Career Development, and Institutional Assimilation. We will do our best to match you with a partner who can help you achieve your own TEACH Coach goals. What is/are your goal(s)?  *
There are five program requirements to earn the TEACH Coach Certificate of Completion: (1) meet with your mentor every other week, (2) participate in TEACH Coach Cohort Discussion Boards, (3) attend one committee meeting with your mentor, (4) observe one class or be observed (you and your mentor decide) and (5) attend on your own any two Faculty Friday Zoom Discussions on Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m. or attend any two other WVC trainings (e.g. WVC Online or TEACH Center). Do you plan to meet the these requirements? *
The program kicks-off with a fun and casual Meet 'n Greet Orientation so that you and your mentor can get acquainted, set goals, and plan your meeting dates/times. It will be from 3:00-4:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 6th over Zoom. More details to follow.

You'll meet with your mentor about twice a week over a three month period, for about an hour each time give or take, over Zoom, phone, or in person. What are the best days/times for you to meet? Please check as many options as possible. We will try to match you with a mentor who has similar meeting availability. *
