The Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce* will host a candidate forum on Thursday, April 11 at 6:00PM for the school board, city council and mayoral candidates. The Forum will be held at the Smithville Recreation Center and can also be viewed online at the Chamber and Library Facebook pages (both as a FB Live event and then as a recorded event to be viewed at any time). The candidates running in contested races for Mayor, City Council and Smithville ISD School Board in the May 2024 election have all been invited to participate.
Members of the public are invited to submit questions for the candidates. Fill out this submission form and drop it off at one of the areas drop box locations. Drop boxes are located at City Hall, the Smithville Visitor Center/Chamber office and the Smithville Public Library. Questions may also be submitted via e-mail to erika.oneal@smithvilletx.org. Questions may be submitted until 4pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
You may submit as many questions as you like. All questions will be given to the Question Selection Committee which will select the questions to be posed to the candidates.
