Welcome to Picturing Baltimore, a community photo project aimed at connecting diverse communities in Baltimore through the power of photography. Our project invites residents of Baltimore to share their stories and experiences through a series of photo workshops and exhibitions.
Picturing, Baltimore Photo Project works to divest in the photographic canon while simultaneously investing in underrepresented voices in the Baltimore community through the medium of photography.
There are no restrictions on what art the you as the participant can make with the disposable cameras!
As a participant you are able attend programming, including photography walks meeting at Black Artist Research Space. Local photographers and talented artists based in Baltimore will facilitate them. Workshops can help work through project ideas, learn more about photography and how to use other styles of cameras.
