Higher Ground Festival brings Northern Manhattan artists together to network and create interdisciplinary collaborations presented free to the uptown community. ALL ARTIST ARE WANTED TO APPLY! Since its inception HGF has connected 200 artists and presented 43 new works.

PLEASE READ:
The HGF Process: We accept all art disciplines (Music, Dance, Visual, Fashion, Theater etc.). Upon being accepted to the 2022 HGF all artists must participate in the Artist Meet & Greet Series held March - April, in person with virtual options. At the conclusion of the M&G Series, artists will be required to submit a Final Proposal. This proposal can be the same or be completely different from your original proposal based on the connections you made during the M&G Series. A panel will review the proposals and choose (5) to be presented for the 2022 HGF. Chosen collaborations, HG Premieres, receive a $500 Project Stipend, Non-profit resources, donated workspace, and full production performance at no cost to the artists . The festival will be a stage based performance held in an uptown park in August.


Please make sure to read all the below information before completing the application.

1.)  All applicants must reside in Northern Manhattan neighborhoods.

2.) Along with the Application, please submit (3) art samples via email. Depending on art focus this could be photographic, video, written text, etc.  Email to: HIGHERGROUNDFESTIVAL@GMAIL.COM.
