Ramadan Prayer Permission form 2025
Ramadan begins on Friday, February 28th and continues through Sunday, March 30th.  We understand that students who practice Islam may want to participate in the midday prayer during the school day.  We allow this practice and provide a quiet place for students to pray.  

This year students will be allowed to go to Mrs. Dare's room, B 204, at 12:30 PM to participate in the midday prayer.  We will only allow students whose parents complete this form to leave class for this opportunity. 

Students will be expected to notify their teacher at the time they are to leave and they are to return directly to class once prayers are completed.  Students may bring prayer mats and they will be expected to take care of any ceremonial cleansing prior to going to Room B 204. 

Any student who misbehaves on the way to/from, or during prayer time will lose the privilege and will have to take care of their prayers after school hours.

I would like my child to participate in midday prayers at MJHS. By saying yes, I understand that my child may miss a portion of an instructional class and will be held responsible for any missing work/instruction.  If on a given day, my child is to take a test, quiz, or participate in a major presentation that cannot be made up at a later time, that occurs during our designated prayer time, my child will not go to midday prayer that day and will need to take care of their prayer obligations after school.  *
