I decide to commit 1-2 hours every week (mostly on Sunday) to provide guidance, suggestions or mentorship for students, especially for people from underrepresented group.
As a fifth-year PhD student, I always see the information asymmetry between junior students and senior students/researchers/professors on topics such as how to do research, how to select (or define) a research problem, how to work with supervisors (or other senior researchers), how to choose academic v.s. industry, how to face the failure in research or problems such as how to prepare for either graduate program or an industry job. This problem is more severe for underrepresented group, and I will try my best to reduce the information asymmetry.
