Thank you for your interest in attending the
"Cultivating Educator Resilience: Tell Empowering Stories and Building Community" workshop on
Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from
4:30-6:00 PM EST in Crowe Hall 107. This session will be on campus, and there will be
NO Zoom option. Other workshops in this series (#4, #5, #6, & #7) will be fully on Zoom. This workshop will be facilitated by Stephanie Letourneau. This workshop is part two of a nine-part series.
Workshop Description: How you interpret and make sense of events is a juncture point where emotional resilience increases or depletes. You make the choice of what story to tell. When you tell empowering stories, your optimism may expand, and optimism is a key trait of resilient people. We are social beings, and we need each other to thrive. A strong, healthy community can bolster us through challenging moments, and bring joy into our lives. When we build community, we build empathy for each other; and building empathy for each other helps us build community.
