Call for Workshop Proposals 2019
Please consider submitting a workshop proposal for the WMWP's annual Best Practices in the Teaching of Writing Conference, which will be held at UMass Amherst on Saturday, October 5, 2019. Proposals are due by August 19, 2019.

This year, our theme is "Rewriting the Script: How to Make Change in Classrooms, Schools, and Communities." We all need to learn, adapt, and grow to be the best teachers we can be, but making changes in our classrooms, schools, and communities is rarely an easy task. At Best Practices, you will get inspired, recharge, and renew your commitment to educating for social change. You will hear stories, strategies, and successes from colleagues at schools across western Massachusetts as we come together to focus on “Rewriting the Script: How to Make Change in Classrooms, Schools, and Communities.”

Questions may be directed to WMWP Co-Director of Teacher Programs Emily Lent Hemingway at elent@bement.org.
