Virtual and In-person Mentoring for 2021-2022

Mentors work with Northern Virginia high school seniors to help them:
    -work their way through the college application process;
    -find appropriate scholarship opportunities;
    -develop post-secondary skills to prepare for the college environment.

We are looking for mentors who:
    -can commit to work with their mentees for at least 2 hours a week; mentor/mentee teams can decide on their own schedules;
    -will join synchronous online presentations periodically;
    -are willing to maintain email communication (especially as deadlines approach).

We welcome current and former Dreamers, university students and graduates, counselors, retirees, all supportive community members with some knowledge of the college application process. Training, information, and guidance is offered in assisting mentors throughout the process. There will be a number of dates for online orientations in June, July, and August.

Mentors will need to submit to a background check.
