Competition Information
Teams of 3-4 will have 48 hours in their Pre-lim round to analyse and create recommendations on how to develop a property for the highest returns and best use.

There will be two stages to the competition this year:

1.) Pre-lim submissions: Submit your written recommendations AND powerpoint by Sunday 21st July 12pm.
*Written submissions must be Arial Size 11 font and 1500 words maximum.

2.) Finals: If selected, your team will present your 10 minute PowerPoint presentation (+10 min Q/A)  to a panel of judges. You may add new graphs/visual aids in this, BUT NOT change your written recommendations. Any team that does so, will be disqualified.

*You will be informed if you are a finalist on 5pm Sunday 21st July, and the Finalist presentations will start 5pm Monday 22nd July

To enter, you must be a paid MCC member. You can enter as a team of three or four with your friends or individually, in which case single entries will be assigned to random teams.

*Please note there is a requirement to have AT LEAST one BProp (Bachelor of Property) degree student per team.

Dates are as follows:

- Competition duration: 19th-22nd July
- 'How-to' Tutorial: Friday 19th July (9-11am)
- Case Release: Friday 19th July (11am)
- Case Submission: Sunday 21st July (12pm)
- Finalists Notified: Sunday 21st July (Evening)
- Finalist Presentations & Prizegiving: Monday 22nd July (5pm)

Prize Pool: $5,000 in total, including $2,500 for first place.

Undergraduate students will be eligible for selection to attend the University of Sydney Business School Real Estate Competition in September. High performing competitors at the finals will be selected for an interview. The following will be taken into account when selecting a team:

- Proficient at one of the following – PowerPoint and design, research, finance or valuation.
- Being strong at communicating and working well in a team.
- Forming a team with a mix of study levels and gender, with a preference for those studying Property.
- Creating a team that is dedicated in preparation for Sydney with clear winning ambitions.
