What's your preferred name?
*
This will be put on the volunteer schedule spreadsheet which is shared publicly.
Your answer
What's your phone number?
If we need to contact you during the conference, we will call this number. We will not share this number outside of the organizing team.
Your answer
Have you obtained yourself a ticket?
*
PyCon has a long tradition where "everyone pays", including the conference organizer, as a way to support our financial aid program(where each accepted applicant gets a free ticket). This means that we do not offer free tickets to volunteers. Tickets are available here:

We will be scheduling you for a single 3hr shift sometime between 7:45a-6p on Saturday and 9a-5:30p on Sunday. Let us know of any commitments/conflicts between those times!
Your answer
Please check off the position(s) you're comfortable with filling.

Session Chair: Introduce the speaker, keep time, moderate Q&A, and generally keep talks running smoothly. You'll be able to sit for the majority of your shift.
Registration: Hand out badges, answer questions, give directions, general assistance. You'll be on your feet if it's busy, but can sit down when it's not.
Audio-Visual: During talks, maintain audio levels, assist speakers with getting mic'ed, assist with AV set up. You'll be able to sit during talks, some heavy lifting may be helpful but not necessary
General set up/assistance: Depending on needs, we might need "people herders", moving tables/chairs, etc. LIkely not strenuous but those with mobility issues may wish to avoid.
