Daily Themes & Countries
We are excited to use curriculum developed by the ELCA's World Hunger. Each week this summer, we will focus on a new country/place that connects us to the day's theme. All activities, games etc. will be tied into the day's theme. Children and volunteers will learn together about our neighbors across the world!
Wednesday Night Alive is scheduled to run for 8 weeks this summer from 5 - 8 PM. Please check ALL dates that you anticipate being able to help. *

Volunteer Opportunities
Please read through each description to get a very brief overview of what each volunteer opportunity may require. It's OK to be interested in helping in more than one way. Jena Hill will contact you to talk further and to determine what/how you can be most helpful!

All volunteers will receive more detailed instructions, curriculum and supplies as needed.
SMALL GROUP LEADERS need to be able to commit to being at most of the Wednesday night sessions in order to build relationships with children. Small group leaders will work with their same small group each week. Small Group leaders will need to be at Trinity by 4:30 PM and stay until 8:15 PM each Wednesday. Are you interested in learning more about being a small group leader for about 6 children (age 5-12)? *
SNACKS Each week, we will have a snack available for participants and volunteers. Snacks will represent the day's theme/country focus. You are not responsible for purchasing the snacks but will need to assemble and distribute snacks in a Covid-safe way. Snack hosts will need to arrive by 4:30 PM and stay until 7:00 PM. Are you interested in learning more about hosting SNACKS? *
DINNER HOSTS Each week, participants and volunteers will share a meal at 7 PM. Funding and donations can cover the cost of the meal but dinner hosts are needed to prepare and serve the meal in a Covid Safe way. Hosts can arrive as early as 4:30 PM if needed but will need to stay until dinner ends at 7: 30 PM. Are you interested in learning more about being a Dinner Host? *
CRAFTS are one of the "stations" that small groups will rotate through each week. Each week, we focus on a different theme/country with crafts from that country. Crafts volunteers will receive supplies and instructions ahead of time. Crafters will need to arrive by 4:30 PM and stay until 7:00 PM. Are you interested in learning more about being a crafter? *
GAMES/SIMULATION STATIONS are "stations" that small groups will rotate through each week. Each week there are games to play and activities to do that will connect to the day's theme/country that we are learning about. GAME/SIMULATION STATION leaders will receive game and activity plans ahead of time. You will need to arrive by 4:30 PM and stay until 7:00 PM.
