Apryl Davenport was a remarkable teacher to many and a friend to all who came her way. She taught first Grade at Dakota Elementary School on the MAFB for over twenty years and retired in 2011. In her passing on January 8th, 2021, the family set up an endowment to continue spreading Apryl's love and passion for teaching and creating bright futures.

This grant is for new first-year teacher who will be teaching a first-grade classroom. If you fit this criterion, please fill out the information below.

Grants will be given out in the fall to support one teacher following in the footsteps of a loved MPS District Teacher, Apryl Davenport.
*As the endowment grown the opportunity for multiple teachers will grow as well.
