Client Agreement - Funded

This treatment agreement outlines the way we will work together whilst you are in therapy with us.
Your therapist will provide you with a contact number in order for you to contact them to arrange sessions.
Should the therapist need to contact you they will use the contact details that you have provided and only leave messages with your permission.

If you find that the treatment is not working for you, you are free to end this agreement, however, it will be helpful to discuss this with your therapist to avoid an abrupt or unplanned ending that may not be helpful for you.

All of our therapists are registered members of a professional body and adhere to their ethical standards.

Confidentiality means that specific information will not be shared with others.  However, there are certain situations where we have a duty to inform other agencies, for instance if you tell us that you are at serious risk of harm or if someone else is put at risk.  In these situation we would always try to talk with you about these concerns before taking any action and would support you to take action yourself as far as possible.

Your therapist is also required to undertake clinical supervision in order to ensure that you receive the best possible service, therefore the ‘themes’ of sessions may be discussed anonymously within this framework.

In rare instances we may be instructed by a legal representative or directly by the court to provide factual information; where possible we will endeavour to share contents of such information with you.

There are occasions where it may be helpful or necessary for your therapist to contact or consult your GP or another Professional. This would normally be discussed with you first however, we will not hesitate in contacting emergency services to ensure your safety or the safety of others.

REMOTE/ONLINE SESSIONS

Please ensure that you can access a confidential space for online sessions; free from any distractions or noises and where you will not be interrupted, or overheard.  It can also be helpful to allow yourself some space after each session before resuming normal activities.
You therapist will arrange meeting details with you in advance and if for any reason the technology fails, they will contact you on the number that you have provided.

Regular attendance at session
Your commitment to attending each session agreed with your counsellor is essential.

- Your treatment will involve regular scheduled sessions with your therapist; each meeting will last around 50 minutes.  Sessions will vary in frequency, as agreed between you and your therapist.

- To get the most out of your treatment and maintain momentum, it is really important to attend regularly.

- Please arrive on time for your appointment, as your therapist will be unable to extend your session beyond the scheduled time, if you arrive late.

- If you miss an appointment without having made a prior agreement with your therapist, your ongoing treatment may be affected. Two consecutive appointments missed during your treatment will generally be regarded as ending the therapy agreement.

- Cancellations via email or telephone less than 48 hours before your appointment will count as a session within your treatment allocation. Regrettably we will not be able to offer a refund or reschedule the appointment.

- Cancellations via email or telephone more than 48 hours before your appointment may be rescheduled depending on the therapists availability.

- If you are more than 15 minutes late for your session your therapist reserves the right to treat this as a cancelled session.
