About the program
The purpose of maxSIMmakers is to provide students with opportunities to contribute to the development of simulation and other teaching aids. As a maxSIMmaker, you can employ your digital design and artistic skills to create solutions to problems posted in our project repository. These problems come from our partner clinical educators and therefore are meaningful and time sensitive.

In addition to design skills, we require will require you to be reliable, trustworthy, and possess impeccable managerial and collaborative skills.

Being a maxSIMmaker is a volunteer position, and with completion of each project you can expect a recognition letter from maxSIMhealth and from the project lead from the hospital/clinic that you will work with. On many occasions, and depending on the overall contributions, you can also be part of the authorship on selected presentations and publications.

However, as a maxSIMmaker, you will need to wave your right to own intellectual property (IP) on projects that are assigned to you from our database and acknowledge that all IP will remain with maxSIMhealth and the university. Working on independent projects as part of maxSIMmaker’s position need to be negotiated with the leads of maxSIMhealth network.
