The University Registrar’s Office/Poorvu Center DEIB Committee and Disability Alliance at Yale (DAY) are proud to present UNLOCKING ACCESS, a one-day conference on disability designed specifically for Yale staff members. This event will include special guests from Human Resources, Worklife, and CoSign CT, among others, to contribute to the conversation. Snacks, coffee, and lunch included!
When? May 1st, 2024, 10am-4pm
Where? Inside Sterling Memorial Library, including the SML Lecture Hall and the Poorvu Center
Why? The primary goals of this conference are three-fold: first, to help staff with disabilities navigate their Yale experience; second, to help staff members who do not identify as having a disability better understand how they can best support their colleagues who do; and third, to fight the continuing stigma associated with these identities, and work toward normalizing diverse bodies and minds in our community.
Note: This event is for all Yale staff, whether you identify with having a disability or not!
Cap: There will be a 60-person cap for in-person attendance. Once we reach that limit, we will be extending the invitation to join us via a Zoom option.
