Spoons Across America has developed proprietary curriculum for nutrition-based educational programs for use in schools by our educators and by certified teaching staff in schools and community-based organizations. Spoons Across America has also developed a unique hands-on methodology, which forms the foundation of each of our programs. Spoons Across America is making available The Food Exploration Project to educators who are teaching their students and who have an interest and focus in food literacy.
The materials contained in this curriculum are intended to assist teachers/educators as they strive to improve their students knowledge of healthy food choices. While we attempt to thoroughly address topics that relate to healthy food choices, it is not possible for Spoons Across America to address the specific nutritional needs, allergies, or medical conditions of individual participating students. This program may also involve some activities that carry inherent danger and risk of injury or property damage, including cutting, chopping, heating, and other culinary techniques. It is the responsibility of each teacher/educator to supervise their students during the program, to examine the curriculum to determine their students' capacity to participate in the program activities, and to determine which foods their students should be exposed to based on their individual health and medical condition.
Spoons Across America makes no warranty of safety and accepts no liability for any injury or damage that may occur related to the use of this program. Anyone participating in these programs assumes the related risks and agrees to hold harmless Spoons Across America from any liability.
