The consents you give will last for the duration of your child’s time at our school, however the form will be reviewed annually and so we may ask you to complete a new form from time to time. If you wish to change any of the authorisations at any time please contact the School Office at admin@landkey-primary.devon.sch.uk

Emergency Medical Consent - I give the school permission to give/arrange emergency treatment. *

Internet Access

To support learning opportunities within the school your child will, at appropriate times, be given access to the Internet as an information source, a communications tool and a publishing medium. We use a filtered Internet Service to prevent access to unsuitable material and internet access is supervised by a member of staff. We can track/monitor sites visited. The school's E-Safety Policy is available to view on our website.

The school has a website that contains information about the school and this may contain work completed by your child.

Landkey Village Visits

During your child’s school life at Landkey they will be taken on various trips around the village – to the Church, Millennium Green, Venn Woods for example, or just a walk through the village.

Photography and Video In School

Occasionally, we may take photographs and videos of the children at our school. We make use of photography/video in school for special events and school activities and to add interest to curriculum topics the children are working on. We may use these images/videos as part of our school displays and sometimes in other printed publications like the newsletter or Tarka Learning Partnership publications. We may also use them on our school website or the Tarka Learning Partnership website. In addition, photographs and video footage are taken as a record of the achievements of your children in school productions, events and assemblies. Such footage is only for use within the school community.

Photography and Video for television and newspapers

From time to time, our school may be visited by the media who will take photographs or film footage of a high profile event or for a specific television or news feature. Pupils will often appear in these images, which may appear in local or national newspapers, or on televised news programmes.

At different times of the year, the North Devon Journal invite us to submit photographs of classes for specific features - such as new reception class, Christmas play photos and Year 6 leavers.

Photography and Video by organisers of events outside of school

During your child’s time at our school they may attend trips and sporting events organised by a third party (such as Tennis Festivals at Tarka Tennis). Event organisers may wish to take photographs/videos of the events and publish them in their publicity material or website.

Individual and Group Photos For Sale by Professional Photographer

At the start of the school year a photography company visits school to take individual and sibling group photos of the children and then later in the year a whole class photo. These photos are offered for sale to parents. School is required to share your child's name and year group with the photography company to enable this.

I give consent for a professional photographer to take an individual and sibling group (where applicable) photograph and release to my family for sale. The photographer would have possession of the photos on their equipment, not school equipment. *

Permission to Walk Home from School - Year 5 & 6 Only

Parents of children in year 5 & 6 can give consent for their children to walk home from school alone.
