Interventions’ questionnaire
Hello! Thank you for contributing to my research!

My research takes as a starting point some acting techniques from the twentieth century Russian theatre director Konstantin Stanislavski's book "An Actor Prepares". My aim is to investigate the extent to which they can be applicable and useful to the musicians' practice and performance.

As such, in this questionnaire you will watch and evaluate seven recordings from the same excerpt of the melodrama for narrator and piano, "Enoch Arden", by Richard Strauss. In some of the recordings, I am applying Stanislavski's techniques, but you are not told which ones, so that it doesn't affect how you perceive what you watch and listen. My objective is to understand the variations in your perception of the different recordings. The narration is absent, so that the focus is solely on the music.

If possible, listen to the recordings in a quiet place, since the differences between them are generally subtle.

This questionnaire is just one out of three parts. In each, only a short excerpt is presented. Feel free to answer one, two or all three parts. I appreciate your help in any case.

Finally, any personal information (e.g., your name) that you include in this questionnaire will not be used in my research or in any other place. The people that answer this questionnaire will be referred to as "person 1", "2", "3", etc.
