2020/21 Design Lab Application
The Design Lab is geared towards emerging lighting and/or sound designers looking to develop their craft. Participants will receive mentorship from a professional designer in their area of interest. They will gain hands on experience through working with their peers and having their work showcased at the Festival. The Design Lab facilitators are Steph Raposo and Miquelon Rodriguez.

Participants will meet approximately once/month from November 2020 - May 2021. Exact dates TBC. Please send 2-3 support materials to djelani@paprikafestival.com as a .DOC or .PDF titling your file “lastname_firstname_designlabapplication".  For other work or your website, send us a link!                                                                                                                                                                  Support materials can be anything you feel would tell us more about you and the kind of work you make (or want to make in future). Some ideas are: a trailer for a project you were involved with, production photo(s) or short video from work you've made, a script sample or project outline from past/current work of yours,  drawings or visual art that connect with your interests as an artist, a link to or text from interview or article about you and/or your work, an article or essay you've written that relates to your theatre interests, a resume of artistic work/projects, reference letters from mentors or teachers!
