Hello, and welcome to the Studio Family! We are so excited to have you :). Here are all the important details you should know. Please check each box below and sign the bottom of this form.
SCHEDULING: McKenna Troy Voice Studio is run on a semester system: Fall, Winter & Spring with closures for major holidays. There is a recital/performance opportunity every semester and optional studio events at least bimonthly. Students are expected to stay enrolled for the full semester. If they need to cancel they must give two weeks notice. Students are welcome to take weekly or biweekly lessons. With 24 hour notice, weekly students get two lesson reschedules and biweekly students get one lesson reschedule per semester (subject to my open lesson availability, as displayed on Mymusicstaff). All other missed lessons will be billed with no makeup credits or refunds. Students are always welcome to take their lessons on zoom, even if it’s last minute. If McKenna needs to cancel a lesson, makeup lesson options will be provided or the student will receive a statement credit of the lesson cost to apply to their next billing cycle.
LESSON PAYMENT: Lessons are prepaid and charged monthly on the 1st of the month. Invoices are automatically emailed 3-5 days previous. Autopay is strongly recommended. Late payments will accrue a $15 late fee. Prices are subject to change each term- students will be notified if this happens. Home Studio Prices are as follows: In studio: Proportional rates to $82.50/45min lesson (with homework/tools). Noe Valley: Proportional to $93/45min lesson (with homework & resources). All students must have a credit card or bank account on file.
COMMUNICATION: All studio scheduling and billing is facilitated through the platform Mymusicstaff, which will be set up in your first lesson. Students should report all of their absences through that website, not by reaching out directly to McKenna. Students are always welcome to take their lessons in person or on Zoom. Due to the nature of her performing career, McKenna may occasionally need to teach her in person lessons online on zoom. This would not happen more than twice a term.
Unless you need more time for accessibility reasons, please wait until 1-2 minutes before your lesson time to buzz for entry. If you buzz before that, you will not be able to be let in early. It may also interrupt a previous student's lesson.
Hooray, you've gotten through it all! Now, please check the statements below and you'll be all set (:
