WHAT IS A MOTHERS BLESSING?
It’s a shower for moms. A Baby Shower prepares you for the arrival of baby taking care of all of baby's needs. A Mothers Blessing typically around week 28-37wks gestation can be described as a rite of passage for the mother to be. Birth workers Cathleen & Sebrena have joined magic to gift mothers to be the ultimate sacred experience by honoring and adorning her as she goes into the journey of motherhood. A Mothers Blessing is a ceremony that celebrates and honors the mother to be. The aim of this ceremonial event is to focus on the mother where the women near and dear to her may share their positive and empowering birth stories, prayer over her , affirm her and send her off with many blessings. It’s a beautiful circle of sisters, mothers, women holding space and sharing wisdom and divine feminine energy to usher mother to be off into one of your most sacred chapters of your life.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR A MOTHERS BLESSING:
Create a list of the nearest & dearest woman in your life (no more than 20). You pick the location we can take the lead on inviting your guests and tell them all the special and intimate details for mom to be’s special blessing day.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Some activities you may include;
A foot bath using blessed waters with flowers, essential oils and bath salts
Fun activities for all to participate in
Light refreshments
Belly Painting
Each participant reciting a poem(s) about motherhood or sharing birth affirmations
Jewelry or candle making
Help create a Birthing Vision Board for mama
Songs
Guided & Sound Healing Mediation
Each guest bringing a flower or item that reminds you of the mother to be
You can make it your own and I will assist in facilitating everything and organizing the event to tailor it to your liking. We would have a meeting with guest list, favorite color, talk about particular elements that you love and I will take the lead. Each ceremony ends with a feast cooked by the people you love as each guest will be asked to bring a dish.
