Dream Kamp is an exciting 6 Week Summer Program for youth ages 10-17yrs to meet new friends, learn new things, and explore a wide array of topics from self-esteem to character, leadership, and life skills all while having fun! All youth will benefit from this camp and are encouraged to attend.

Each week will be focused on a specific targeted area.

Week 1: Character Development – Sisterhood/ Brotherhood & understanding the importance of teamwork & unity (Laser Tag Team Build field Trip)                        

Week 2: Life Skills- Job Readiness and financial literacy workshops with Workforce Solutions and Bank Of America. Interview tips and techniques and bank resources.

Week 3: Nutrition and Cooking - Healthy meal prep with Chef Cameron making fun and easy snacks/ Mental health workshop, managing stress, anxiety and depression for teens.

Week 4: Personal Development- Self-care workshop healthy habits and hygiene / Sports and fitness out door sports tournament & Self defense workshop with Krav Maga

Week 5: Community Responsibility- Giving back and making  difference. Community car wash fundraiser/ Visit from Sheriff & officers, building positive relationship with youth and law enforcement.                                

Week6: Award and Celebratory Event- Acknowledge growth and strengths receive certificate and gift bag. Games and prize Fun Fun Fun!

Due to the current health crisis in our country, we will be taking extra precautions in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC0 guidelines which have been thoroughly reviewed by our staff.  The Health and Safety of our youth and mentors are our number one priority and there will be many new procedures in place to ensure we are doing our part to stop the spread of any unwanted health concerns.  This will include pre-screening our youth,  and staff members, wearing a mask and  sanitization plan, social and spatial distancing, and other strategies from which we will all benefit.

As an organization, we are trying to foster an environment that promotes positive reinforcement to encourage our young people in everything they do.  We expect each attendee to follow the rules in accordance with Dream Keepers.  Each attendee will be asked to participate to their best ability.  If an attendee refuses to follow the basic rules and procedures, he/she will be asked to leave so that others are not affected.

 

Dream Kamp is held Wednesdays/ Thursdays and Fridays from 12-3 pm beginning June 15th and conclude July 30th

All participants will be expected to wear proper summer clothing (shorts and t-shirts) and appropriate closed-toe footwear. NO sleepwear, halter-tops, baseball caps.  We also encourage all participants with food allergies to bring their own snacks.

Pay In full cost is $410 per child  (6 weeks)
