Growing up in the intersection of two academic communities: systems/networking (on the CS side) and optics/photonics (on the EE side), I benefit a lot from conversations and discussions with researchers in the field and learn from their experiences. As a way of giving back and promoting diversity in computer systems/networking and optics/photonics, I commit 1~2 hours of my spare time every week to meet, advise, mentor and help students/researchers who belong to underrepresented groups or who need some help.
Please fill in the following form if you are interested in talking to me. Please also include the potential topics that you would like to discuss so that I can be prepared! I will reach out to you based on a FIFO (first-in first-out) queue, and priorities may be give to those from underrepresented groups.
This open office hour is inspired by efforts made by Hanrui Wang, Zhijian Liu, Wei-Chiu Ma, Krishna Murthy.
