We are currently collecting interest in volunteering in the cafeteria during first (11:10- 11:35), second (11:40 -12:05), and third (12:00-12:25) lunches. We are also in need of volunteers to work in our uniform corner to help keep it looking nice and organized. We may not be able to accommodate all those who respond. Thank you.
Volunteers will need all required clearances to participate. If you need assistance with clearances, you can contact Mrs. Marci Zambito mzambito@scsreading.org
Lunch duty responsibilities will consist of the following:
- Manages students during meal service (behavior problems will be referred to
the teacher or principal according to guidelines established by the individual
school site).
- Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional
manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Circulate throughout the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served and/or
eaten assisting students who need assistance.
- Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria (disinfecting tables, sweeping floors)
- Positively encourages good table manners.
Uniform Corner's responsibilities will consist of the following:
- Intake of all new uniform donations
- Separate "Bigs" uniforms from "Littles" Uniforms.
- Removing any unclean and unsalvageable uniforms.
- Washing any uniforms that are salvageable.
- Organizing and labeling all new donations.
- Place in appropriate "Uniform Corner".
